SUMMARY:RVA Green Virtual Focus Group
DESCRIPTION:The City of Richmond is developing the RVAgreen 2050: Climate Equity Action Plan 2030 in order to reach the goals set by City Council of a 45% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions citywide by 2030 and net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 while equitably preparing our citizens\, built environment\, infrastructure and services to be resilient to the impacts of climate change.  The Office of Sustainability will conduct Community Engagement Outreach followed by a final review from City Leadership in the summer and plan adoption by City Council in the fall. \n\n\n\nHBAR will host a virtual RVA Green Focus group on Wednesday\, March 30 from 9:00 to 10:00. The purpose of the focus group is for the City staff to:\n\n	Share relevant draft strategies with HBAR to gather feedback\n	Listen to HBAR members suggestions for successful implementation\n	Ask HBAR members for case study examples and lessons learned from green building practices and net zero construction\n	Find out what kinds of opportunities HBAR members see with this plan\n	Invite HBAR members to be part of our Implementation Teams\n	Learn what the City can do to assist HBAR members as we all work together toward a net zero Richmond
